Looks like fans of the canceled, then rescued country music drama “Nashville” now have a month to look forward to.
During a concert at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN, series creator Callie Khouri announced during a concert featuring “Nashville” cast member Charles Esten that the fifth season will launch on CMT sometime in December.
The official Twitter account of the Grand Ole Opry confirmed the news.
CMT will broadcast the new season, with streaming service Hulu offering each episode a day after it aired.
Aside from Will Chase (Luke Wheeler) and Aubrey Peeples (Layla Grant), the entire cast, including leading ladies Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, will return for the new, 22-episode season.
