The second spinoff from NBC’s “Chicago Fire” just got a litte grimm-er.
“Grimm” alum Brian Tee, who played Akira Amura for three episodes on the NBC drama, has joined the regular cast of “Chicago Med”.
According to several sources, he will play a Chicago born Resident at the hospital who found his calling in medicine after several tours of duty as an Army medic.
Tee also appeared in “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, “Baby Daddy”, “Hawaii Five-0” and “Legends”. And he was seen on “Chicago Fire” in a different role – that of gang member Jesse Kong.
“Chicago Med”, initially set for midseason, now premiers in the fall due to “Heartbreaker” being delayed by the pregnancy of its star, Melissa George.
