But shortly after, ABC Family has pulled the plug, and officially canceled the freshman drama after one season.
Looks like ABC Family wanted to have things done before the weekend.
The cable network has announced today in a press release that it has given a back order to Amy Sherman-Palladino’s freshman drama “Bunheads”.
There’s actually not much happening at the moment in terms of news, so I had to wait a bit longer to have enough material to create another News Pack.
But here it is, the stuff that made the rounds lately.
- TVLine’s Kimberly Roots reports that Sean Gunn, who played Kirk on “Gilmore Girls” back in the day, has signed on for a guest spot on Amy Sherman-Palladino’s new dramedy “Bunheads”, which airs Mondays on ABC Family. On the episode airing August 12, Gunn will play Bash ( which is short for Sebastian), an award-winning barista who is known for brewing some fine joe.
And here, to cap the week of, the news pack with the latest happenings.
- Per TVLine’s Vlada Gelman, “Gilmore Girls” alum Chris Eigeman has joined the cast of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s new ABC Family series “Bunheads”, where he will play Conor, the director of a play that Michelle (Sutton Foster) and Fanny (Kelly Bishop) attend.
The news pack before the Memorial Day Weekend.
- TVLine’s Megan Masters reports that Ryan McPartlin (“Chuck”) has been added to the cast of “Touch”-based web series “Daybreak”. No details were given on his character in the series that centers on the Dodecahedron, the 12-sided shape that was recently introduced on “Touch”, and will figure into next week’s two-hour first season finale.
- Also form the same article, the Daytime Emmys have found a place to air. HLN will broadcast the ceremony, which takes place on Saturday, June 23, at 8/7c PM.
