Is “The Killing” not over?
TVLine’s Michael Ausiello reports today that after AMC canceled its mystery drama “The Killing” after two seasons, there are two other venues the show might continue on.
According to multiple sources, DirecTV and Netflix are in early talks with Fox TV to revive the show for a third season.
When the Television Critics Association (TCA) holds its annual summer press tour, where the new fall shows are presented in front of countless US TV journalists, there are also some existing shows getting their well-deserved spotlight.
Last night, the TCA handed out its annual TCA Awards, and, not surprisingly, “Homeland”, along with “Game of Thrones” were the shows with the most kudos by evening’s end. “Homeland” got the most awards, while “Thrones” took home the most prestigious award – Program of the Year.

Last night, the second annual Critics Choice TV Awards were handed out by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association.
Showtime’s highly acclaimed drama “Homeland” won for Best Drama series, with lead actress Claire Danes also taking home the award for Best Actress in a Drama.

The Broadcast TV Journalists Association has announced the nominations for the upcoming second annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards today.
While it was having a tough time this year with time slot shifts, moves and a renewal that came in quite late, NBC’s “Community” is now being the show in the spotlight, as it has scored the most nominations of them all – six. AMC’s “Breaking Bad”, NBC’s “Parks & Recreation” and HBO’s half-hour comedy “Girls” are following with five nominations each.

- TVLine’s Megan Masters reports that Ryan McPartlin (“Chuck”) has been added to the cast of “Touch”-based web series “Daybreak”. No details were given on his character in the series that centers on the Dodecahedron, the 12-sided shape that was recently introduced on “Touch”, and will figure into next week’s two-hour first season finale.
