MTV has set Monday, August 20, at 10.30 PM for the premiere of its new scripted comedy “The Inbetweeners”, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The show follows four teenagers as they go through the rough life of high school and venture into adulthood. It stars Joey Pollari, Bubba Lewis, Zack Pearlman, Mark L. Young and Alex Frnka.

- Will Sasso (“MADtv”, “How I Met Your Mother”, “Sh#! My Dad Says”) has signed on to guest star on TBS’ new comedy series “Sullivan & Son”, TVLine’s Megan Masters reports. The show centers on successful attorney Steve (Steve Byrne), who trades his high life in to take over his parents’ Pittsburgh pub. Sasso guest stars as an air traffic controller who sues his coworker, Hank (Brian Doyle-Murray), for being racist, which forces Steve to go back to his lawyer ways.
- Also per TVLine’s Megan Masters, Patrick Fischler (“Lost”) will return to “Californication” in the next season. He’ll reprise his role of Gabriel, the Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor for Richard (Jason Beghe). But news is that this time, he’ll sponsor another, even more important character.
- Also from the same article, “Drop Dead Diva” on Lifetime is about to get a return visit from Kim Kardashian, who will reprise her con-artist role in the second-to-last episode of season 4. Additionally, Tyler Jacob Moore will guest star in the August 12 episode as a Princeton-educated man who ends up getting arrested for donating sperm, which violates a 2005 federal law making it illegal for gay men to donate.
- Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva reports that MTV has ordered “Little Esther” a semi-docu comedy pilot centering on young comedienne Esther Povitsky, focusing on the 24-year old’s life, friends and relationship with fellow comedians.
- Garcelle Beauvais (“Franklin & Bash”) will appear on an upcoming episode of TVLand’s “The Exes”, the Hollywood Reporter reports. Beauvais will show up in the July 25 episode as Kendra, a love interest for Phil (Donald Faison).
- Teri Polo has been tapped to star in “Christmas Angel” a TV movie produced independently, and to be directed by Brian Herzlinger, per Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva. She will play Melinda Mead, a single mom raising her daughter in a small town. Tamera Mowry-Housley, Jaiden Kaine, Della Reese, Kevin Sorbo and Izabela Vidovic co-star in the story centering on a wish-fulfilling old house.
- And last but not least, Showtime has released a first look at the upcoming seventh season of “Dexter”, labeled “Truth Brings Light”. How will Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) react to finding out the truth about her brother’s doings? Get teased below!
