Per TVLine’s Matt Webb Mitovich, Blair Brown, who of course is best known for playing Nina Sharp on FOX’ drama “Fringe”, has booked a guest stint on USA’s “Political Animals”.
In the fifth episode of the six-episode freshman season, the red-haired actress will play Barbara Berg, the mother of the journalist played by Carla Gugino who is looking to get the scoop on First Lady and now Secretary of State Elaine Barrish Hammond (Sigourney Weaver).

Additionally, per TVLine’s Michael Ausiello, Jon Michael Hill (“Detroit 1-8-7″) has been added to the recurring cast of CBS’s upcoming fall drama “Elementary”. In the modern take on Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Joan Watson (Lucy Liu), Hill plays a detective who will work alongside the sleuthing duo.
