Three news stories that went online a bit earlier.
- TVGuide’s Adam Bryant reports that Adam Baldwin (“Chuck”, “Angel”) has been cast in a potentially recurring part in TNT’s “Leverage” that will re-unite him with his “Angel” co-star Christian Kane.
Baldwin will play Col. Michael Vance, an ex-Army Ranger running a counter-terrorism division for the government. He recruits experts from all kinds of places, including civilians, and his methods are constantly putting him at odds with other intelligence bureaucrats. “Leverage” returns for season five on Sunday, July 15 at 8/7c PM. Baldwin’s – as of yet only – episode, “The Rundown Job”, airs some time in the fall.
- Beth Grant (“King of the Hill”, “Jericho”) has been added to the cast of “Mockingbird Lane”, per TVLine’s Kimberly Roots. On the upcoming NBC series, Grant is playing Maryanne, a wheelchair-bound woman in her 40s growing more and more suspicious of her creepy new neighbors.
- Comedian Arsenio Hall (“The Arsenio Hall Show”) is returning to television with his own new late-night talk show on CBS, the Hollywood Reporter reports. The new format is said to debut in fall 2013.
