Per TVLine’s Vlada Gelman, the Munsters have just re-discovered their Lily.
“Ally McBeal” alumna (and wife of one Ellen DeGeneres) Portia de Rossi has landed the coveted part of Lily Munster in NBC’s upcoming drama “Mockingbird Lane” which offers a darker and more dramatic approach to the legendary Munsters.

Yvonne deCarlo played the part in the classic 60s TV series. Joining de Rossi are Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Jerry O’Connell as Herman, Mason Cook as Eddie and Charity Wakefield as Marilyn.
“Mockingbird Lane”, which is ordered straight to series, is shepherded by Bryan Fuller (“Heroes”, “Pushing Daisies”) and Bryan Singer (“X-Men”).
