The news pack before the Memorial Day Weekend.
- TVLine’s Megan Masters reports that Ryan McPartlin (“Chuck”) has been added to the cast of “Touch”-based web series “Daybreak”. No details were given on his character in the series that centers on the Dodecahedron, the 12-sided shape that was recently introduced on “Touch”, and will figure into next week’s two-hour first season finale.
- Also form the same article, the Daytime Emmys have found a place to air. HLN will broadcast the ceremony, which takes place on Saturday, June 23, at 8/7c PM.
- According to ABC Soaps In Depth, Nathan Parsons (“General Hospital”) is a guest star in a July episode of ABC Family’s new dance drama “Bunheads”, created by Amy Sherman-Palladino (“Gilmore Girls”). He will play a surfer dude named Godot, whose parents own the local place to hang, “The Oyster Bar”. The town girls are all in awe over him, and fiercely compete to win Godot’s heart.
- TV Guide reports that Lifetime is in the early stages of creating a drama series based on “The Silence of the Lambs” leading lady Clarice Starling, which would center on a younger version that just graduated from FBI Academy. (Guess I just had to write that one, right?)
Enjoy your holiday weekend!
